Lancaster Week Thirteen
After hitting on Jacksonville last week, this week Im taking three games straight up and a four-team-teaser.
San Diego -6: The Chargers were beat up the last time they played the Chiefs, but this time they are playing better. Kansas Citys quarterback situation is not ideal for a team trying to make a run for the division against the defending division champs looking to even the season series and solidify their tiebreaker edge. Plus, after getting smoked last time at home, they are 6 point favorites on the road, which tells the Lancaster to make sure you get this one under 7.
Philadelphia -3: The Eagles need this one much more than the Seahawks, if they want any shot at the playoffs. So, playing at home, I like them to get it done with a West Coast team traveling East for the second straight week.
Under 40.5 in Atlanta/St. Louis: Not sure what I like about this one, except that like I wrote last week, the Rams offense had hit their pinnacle and the Falcons offense is just not very good.
Teaser: Jets +1.5 (+9); Jags +7 (+14.5); Houston +3.5 (+11); New Orleans -3 (+10.5). The Dolphins are giving points? Everyone who knows anything about football knows the Fins arent going to win until they play New England. See 1985 Bears for further evidence. Forget Haynesworth, Tennessee may be without Guard Benji Olsen, and their biggest strength, their OL, will become a major weakness, with rookie Leroy Harris substituting. The Saints got blown out by Tampa last time they played, and they need to win this one at home to stay in the hunt for the NFC South.
Fantasy Sleeper: Fred Jackson. If he starts, he could come up big. Hes a great receiver and with DT Griffen hurting for Washington, he might find some gaps.
Last Week: 1-0-0
Season: 18-24-1
Last Weeks Fantasy Sleeper: Seahawks Defense (4 sacks; 2 INTs; 89 yard kick return for TD)
